Birmingham Special Schools’ Co-operative Trust
In November 2018, Fox Hollies School became part of the newly-formed Birmingham Special Schools’ Co-operative Trust - along with Baskerville School, Dame Ellen Pinsent School, Hamilton School, Longwill School and The Pines School. Joining the schools as partners were Calthorpe Academy, Wilson Stuart School, University of Birmingham, University College Birmingham and Hays Education.
The Trust schools and partners work together to share good practice and collaborate to improve outcomes for all of the pupils in the schools, based on the Co-operative Society’s values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.
Examples of working together include a launch event where students attended workshops and presented a performance, collaborative working for the ICT Technicians, Business Managers and Chairs of the Governing Boards, and a whole Trust CPD day for all staff from all schools. We hope to expand and extend our collaborative working with the Trust schools and partners in the future, for the benefit of all our students.
